Accounting, engineering and advisory firms

A firm you merge in can be one firm online within weeks, and keep the search reach it earned.

Your domain asks inboxes to refuse invoices and wire requests forged in your name. And we check what ChatGPT and Gemini say when a client asks for a firm like yours.

We do this under your web firm and your marketing firm, not instead of them: five things kept right on the site, week after week.

What failing looks like

Two patterns from the firms we read, redrawn without names: a first screen that says Home and a slogan, and a mail record that lets forged invoices through.

Anonymized example from our reads: a search result titled Home with a slogan, and a DMARC record set to p=none

The five checks

Each check reads your site from outside, the way a client or a referral source meets it. Under each is what failing looked like on a site we read on 31 October and 1 November 2026, with the company's name left out.

  1. 01 Named in ChatGPT and Gemini answers

    What passes

Asked for a firm with your services in your markets, the answer engines name you.

    What failing looked like

An MEP engineering firm of about 225 people. We asked ChatGPT and Gemini, twice each, which MEP consultants to hire for a commercial project in the US. Three of the four answers named one rival and three named another. None named the firm.

  2. 02 A homepage title and heading that name what you do

    What passes

The page title and main heading name your services and where you work. They are the first words a search engine or an answer engine reads.

    What failing looked like

An accounting firm of about 400 people. Its homepage heading is a line about the reader's dream and does not say accounting, advisory or its city.

  3. 03 Pages and links kept through each merger

    What passes

When firms combine or a site is redesigned, pages that earned visits and links keep answering, or point to the page that replaced them.

    What failing looked like

In this group, one firm's lost pages came back between 31 October and 1 November, while we were reading. In other industries the same week, 13 to 23 of the 29 or 30 pages we sampled per site from 2025 showed a not found page or the homepage.

  4. 04 DMARC set to reject forged invoices

    What passes

Your DMARC record asks inboxes to refuse mail forged in your name, the mail behind fake invoices and wire requests.

    What failing looked like

Three accounting firms of 225 to 450 people set their DMARC record to p=none, so a wire request forged in their name can still reach a client's inbox. An engineering firm has no DMARC record.

  5. 05 Login names off public view

    What passes

The site does not publish the names its editors log in with, and it runs releases that still get security updates.

    What failing looked like

An accounting firm of about 200 people lists its WordPress login names at a public address, the first half of a password attack.

What we found on 8 accounting, engineering and advisory firms

Firms in the US of 200 to 450 people each, read from outside on 31 October and 1 November 2026.

Of 8 accounting, engineering and advisory firms read on 31 October and 1 November 2026, how many showed each finding: Title or heading a slogan, Home or empty, 4; No DMARC record, or one set to p=none, 4; WordPress login names at a public address, 2
  • We asked ChatGPT about 4 of them, twice each, with a question their clients ask. None of the 8 answers named the firm. Gemini named 3 of the 4 both times.
  • 4 have a homepage title or main heading that is a slogan, the word Home, or empty.
  • 4 have no DMARC record, or one set to p=none, so mail forged in their name can still reach clients.
  • 2 publish their WordPress login names at a public address.

Counted from our notes on each site, which keep the two or three strongest findings, so the true counts can be higher. Sites change, and some of these may have been corrected since.

How it works

Three steps: send the domain, it is reviewed and read from outside, the five checks arrive by email
  1. Send your domain

Your company's website, a work email and three short questions.

  2. We review it and read the site

From outside, the way a customer meets it. Nothing to install and no access needed.

  3. We email your five checks

Each marked pass or fail with what we saw. If it fits, we offer a time with the team.

Questions

What does the work cost?

The work behind these checks starts at $10,000 a month, and its scope comes from what the checks find.

What do you need from us?

Your website and a work email. The checks read the site from outside, so we ask for no logins, access or data.

What do the five checks cover?

Named in ChatGPT and Gemini answers, a homepage title and heading that name what you do, pages and links kept through each merger, DMARC set to reject forged invoices, login names off public view, each marked pass or fail with what we saw.

Who is this for?

Accounting, engineering and advisory firms, including firms that grow by merger.

What happens after I send the domain?

We review each request. If it fits, we send the checks and offer a time with the team.

Do you replace our web or marketing firm?

No. We work under your web firm and your marketing firm and keep five things right on the site, week after week.
